1. What is temporary fencing used for?
A: Temporary fencing is used to create temporary perimeters and control access at construction sites, events, and crowd management areas, helping keep projects safe and organized.
2. How much does temporary fencing cost?
A: Pricing depends on the size, gauge, and setup. SONCO offers temporary fence panels, portable fence panels, and complete kits
with posts, bases, and clamps. Bulk orders and pallets bring extra savings.
3. How is temporary fencing installed?
A: Installation is quick and simple. Place the temporary fence posts, set the panels, and secure them with clamps or braces. No permanent foundation is required.
4. What is the difference between Inline and Versa panels?
A: Inline panels are heavy-duty yet lighter, making them the most popular choice for rentals and construction. Versa panels include a cross brace for extra sturdiness and have extended legs that flip to work with anchor blocks.
5. What sizes do you offer?
A: For temporary fence panels, we stock 6x10, 6x12, and 8x10. For post-driven fence, we carry 6x50 and 8x50 chain-link mesh rolls.
6. Do the panels interlock?
A: No. Fence panels do not have an interlocking system. They connect using clamps, which are required to lock them together securely.
7. How are the panels shipped and stored?
A: Panels are delivered on pallets or racks for safe handling, storage, and transport, making jobsite logistics easier.
8. Do you sell accessories for temporary fencing?
A: Yes, SONCO offers braces, clamps, racks, and other accessories. You can also add Privacy Screens, Logo Screen and Custom Screen options for branding and communication.
9. How stable are the panels in the wind?
A: Panels stay stable when installed with our Anchor Base family, braces, or half-moon cuts for fence screens. These solutions replace sandbags and provide stronger, more reliable support.
10. Do you offer gates with temporary fencing?
A: Yes. We offer pedestrian gates and vehicle gate kits with wheels, allowing panels to be turned into access points for cars or trucks.
