With fencing pliers, attach one end of the fence tie to the upper or lower section of the chain-link fence. Proceed to encase the fence post, top rail, or framework, and rotate the longer portion of the tie around the opposite side of the chain-link mesh, securing it in a “C” configuration.
To ascertain the requisite number of fence ties, a good rule of thumb is to utilize one tie for every 12-18 inches of fence. For a span of 150 feet of chain-link fence, this equates to a need for an estimated 100-150 fence ties.
